Resorufin b-D-glucopyranoside is a fluorescent substrate that is used in the detection of enzymes. It is a high purity, high quality, and stable product. Resorufin b-D-glucopyranoside is used for the detection of bacterial and fungal cultures, as well as for diagnostics in food testing and environmental testing. It can also be used to stain cells in biology experiments. Resorufin b-D-glucopyranoside has been used as a chromogenic substrate for the determination of DNA polymerase activity, which is an enzyme involved in DNA replication and transcription. Chemiluminescence reactions are also possible with this substrate.
