Fuc-a-1,4-GlcNAc-b-4MU

4-Methylumbelliferyl 2-acetamido-2-deoxy-4-O-(a-L-fucopyranosyl)-b-D-glucopyranoside is a fluorogenic substrate that is used in the detection of enzymes that catalyze the hydrolysis of glycosidic bonds. It is also used as a chromogenic substrate for the detection of bacterial colonies and for staining bacteria. 4MTUFG has been shown to be an excellent ligand for enzyme substrates, particularly for mammalian glycosidases, and it has been widely used in diagnostics, food testing, and environmental testing.
