Isonipecotic acid

Isonipecotic acid is a potent antagonist that binds to the response element of the platelet cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) receptor. This receptor is a regulatory protein that controls the activity of cAMP in cells, including platelets. Isonipecotic acid can be used to treat coronary heart diseases and autoimmune diseases by regulating blood clotting, as well as for treatment of insect resistance and autoimmune diseases. It has been shown to have pharmacokinetic properties that are similar to those of other coumarin derivatives.
