6-氨基-6-脱氧-D-葡萄糖盐酸盐, 6-Amino-6-deoxy-D-glucose hydrochloride

6-Amino-6-deoxy-D-glucose hydrochloride is a chromatographic agent that is used to detect and identify viruses. It is also used to study antiviral drugs and the virus life cycle. 6-Amino-6-deoxy-D-glucose hydrochloride has been shown to inhibit protein synthesis in animal cells infected with paramyxoviruses, which may be due to its ability to inhibit acetylation of proteins. This drug has also been shown to inhibit influenza virus replication in cell culture. 6-Amino-6-deoxy--D--glucose hydrochloride binds to the viral ribonucleic acid (RNA) and inhibits the replication of the virus by binding competitively to the RNA polymerase enzyme.
