Ginsenoside Rh4

Ginsenoside Rh4 is a ginseng saponin with anti-diabetic properties. It inhibits the mitochondrial membrane potential and oxidative injury in human leukemia cells. Ginsenoside Rh4 has been shown to induce autophagy, which is a process that helps eliminate damaged or unnecessary cellular components. Ginsenoside Rh4 also reduces the release of reactive oxygen species (ROS), which may be due to its ability to inhibit Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) signaling pathways. Ginsenoside Rh4 has potential as a drug target for cancer treatment due to its ability to inhibit polymerase chain reaction (PCR) activity and reduce tumor size in mice models.

Ginsenoside Rh4 is a saponin isolated from the roots of Panax notoginseng (Burk.) F. H. Chen; used as adjuvant with low or non-haemolytic effect.
